Event Description

This Children’s Day, Sabha Bengaluru becomes a giant playground for building, making and imagination.

Join us on Friday, 13 November and Saturday, 14 November for Block Party — a two-day celebration of open-ended construction play for children and families in Bengaluru.

At the heart of the event is Troy Blocks, a collection of 11 simple geometric forms that can be transformed into anything children can imagine. The Flat Roof Building at Sabha will become a large-scale free-play space where children can build, experiment, collaborate, take things apart and start again. There are no instructions, no right or wrong answers, no competition and no finished model to copy.

Across the Sabha campus, visitors will discover playful Troy Block installations and unexpected architectural interventions. Tinkernauts will be bringing hands-on making, tinkering and creative building activities for curious young minds.

Luna Sole will bring messy and sensory play activities for kids aged 18 months - 4 years, creating opportunities for our littlest children to explore through making and movement.

Block Party will also feature a curated marketplace, food stalls and performances by children. In the evenings, the programme will open up to conversations with architects and designers about creativity, architecture, play and how we imagine and build the world around us.

Designed for children, parents and curious grown-ups, Block Party is an invitation to slow down, get hands-on and experience the joy of making something together.

Come for an hour or stay for the day. Build something enormous, something unexpected, or something that falls down!
