Event Description
Join Aayati Sengupta, Curator of Grip, Hold, Pin, for the first walkthrough of the exhibition. Through a close reading of the works on view, the walkthrough will explore wrestling as more than a sport—as a site where discipline, kinship, identity and everyday life converge. Drawing on photography, archival material and moving image, Grip, Hold, Pin traces the histories and lived experiences that shape wrestling cultures across India, inviting audiences to consider the relationships between body, labour, tradition and representation.
