KJ Diliip, Ila Diliip, Sunaad Anoor, and Diptangshu Bhowmik form the core of Lakkshya’s debut Album, Ecstasy. Inspired by their European tour, which took them to countries like the Netherlands, Germany, and France, the Album reflects the deep musical exploration and cultural exchange that defined their journey and the amazing artists they met there. For the Album, these artists blend traditional Carnatic sounds with innovative contemporary influences, featuring artists such as Mohini Dey on “The Way Home” “Bhavani,” Achal Murthy on “Envy,” and BC Manjunath on the title track. The six-track album produced by Pramath Kiran is a sonic odyssey, where each track immerses the listener in a world of emotion, energy, and joy. From intensely stirring moments to vibrant, uplifting rhythms, Ecstasy invites deep exploration of its rich layers. Violin
K J Diliip, born into a musical lineage, received early training from his father and grandfather, later advancing under violin maestro M.S. Gopalakrishnan. Known for unique Violin Duet and Vocal-Violin duet concerts with his wife Vid. Ila Diliip, he has performed globally, including in the U.S., France, Switzerland, and Australia. A versatile artist, he’s also active in the film industry, with his work in Monsoon Raga gaining over 3 million views. Founder of the Lakkshya Band, Diliip blends tradition with innovation. He is a recipient of numerous awards including the M.S. Subbulakshmi Fellowship and Lalgudi Jayaraman Endowment Award.
Ila Diliip
Violin & Vocals
Ila Diliip is a gifted vocalist and violinist, known for her expressive performances and versatility. She has performed across India and internationally in countries like Switzerland, France, Canada, and as a cultural delegate in Africa. Renowned for tackling complex pieces like Simhanandana Tala RTP, Ila also collaborates with dance forms and jazz musicians. She recently debuted as a playback singer in the Kannada film Monsoon Raga. Alongside her husband Vid. K.J. Diliip, she forms India’s first Carnatic Violin Duet couple. Ila has earned accolades including the M.S. Subbulakshmi Award, Karnataka Government Cultural Award, and multiple national scholarships.
Sunaad Anoor
Percussion
Sunaad Anoor, a fifth-generation musician from a renowned musical family in Bangalore, is a versatile percussionist specializing in the kanjira. Initially trained in violin and mridangam, his passion for rhythm led him to master the kanjira under his father and uncle, Vid. Anoor Dattatreya Sharma and Vid. Anoor Anantha Krishna Sharma. With over 1,000 performances in 11 years, he has collaborated with Indian and international artists across genres like jazz, Latin, and folk. He has performed in India, Germany, and Singapore. Sunaad is an AIR A-graded artist and recipient of awards like the ITC Sangeet Research Academy Award and TA Harihara Sharma Award.
