Event Description

Some ragas wait all year for their moment. A monsoon raga waits for the rains, another waits for the hush after midnight. When the moment comes, it carries joy, longing, serenity, or deep devotion, whatever the hour demands.

This concert invites you to hear the ragas at their intended hour first hand, and feel your own mood arrive with it. The performance brings together Deborshee Bhattacharjee on vocals, Roopak Kallurkar on tabla, and Vighnesh Bhagavat Yellapur on harmonium, three classical musicians from distinct gharana traditions, performing ragas at the hour they were written for.
