Android Hackathon For Democracy

In wake of the upcoming elections, to ensure that people's opinions are recognised and respected even after the polling, Bangalore based start-up Venturesity had launched a 'Hackathon for Democracy' on March 29 and 30. As part of the event, hackers, programmers and techies stayed up all night to create Android based apps and web services that focused on the theme of Venturesity's theme of 'mobilizing voters'.

The idea was to involve the techie community in a more integral manner in our democracy and encourage the idea of voting and voicing your opinions. Many colleges participated and among all VIT Innovators from VIT University with their Voice ur Vote app with foucus to try and motivate more people to vote.
