Global IT giant IBM is will be opening a technology in Bangalore. The lab will focus on design, data analysis, mobile technologies and digital marketing. The main purpose will be to facilitate client work and a number of researchers and consultants are expected to be hired at the lab. Similar labs will be opened in Beijing (China), Groningen (Netherlands), London (UK), Melbourne (Australia), New York (USA), Sau Paulo (Brazil) and Shanghai (China).

The company also plans to open additional labs in various cities. Already the largest big data, analysis, technologies and solutions company, IBM is likely to consolidate its position with the advent of these labs across the world.
