In a bid to give a definitive indication that they mean business, the BBMP cancelled all leaves of ward-level engineers and their seniors till September 30 in order to prioritise pothole filling.

According to instructions given to all BBMP  ward-level assistant engineers, assistant executive engineers and their senior executive engineers, they have been asked to give their undivided attention to filling potholes across the city and improving the conditions of the roads.

All engineers are also required to submit a report at the end of each day to the Mayor, the BBMP commissioner and the ward works committee office.
