Expecting to appeal to the 'educated' and savvy crowd of Bangalore, the Aam Aadmi Party will be fielding candidates from crucial areas such as Bangalore South, Central and North. It's noteworthy that these are the areas where Anna Hazare's rallies drew large numbers. Having said that, the competition will be tough as Congress and the BJP will be fielding formidable candidates too.
Nina Nayak, former chairperson of the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, will be taking on Nandan Nilekani (Congress) and Ananth Kumar (BJP) in Bangalore South. Former Infosys board member V Balakrishnan will be taking on sitting MP PC Mohan in Bangalore Central. In Bangalore North, Professor Babu Mathew, former Registrar of the National Law School of India University will be taking on BJP's former chief minister Sadananda Gowda.
