The Judicial registrar of Karnataka has issued a tender to acquire 40 Apple iPhone 5Cs to enable the judges in the Karnataka High Court to keep track of their cases over the 16 GB smartphone. The court has already developed two Android based apps to help judges and these apps are soon to be ported into the iOs platform.

Apart from keeping track of cases, using a smartphone is expected to enable judges to have access to the internet, videoconferencing and the revamped website of the Karnataka High Court.
