A hoax call about a bomb being planted in the IIM-B campus on Thursday set staff and students in a mode of panic, as they evacuated from the building.The call received at the IIM-B reception at 12 noon.
The staff were sent into a tizzy and the building was evacuated. As it is vacation time, the insitute was functioning on a skeletal staff basis, and there were very few students on campus as well, police said.
A thorough search by the bomb disposal squad and the sniffer dogs revealed that it was a prank call, they said.The call has been traced to a coin phone booth in a condiments shop in J P Nagar police station limits. However, the caller is yet to be traced.
