The transport ministry has issued instructions that by October 7, applicants need not be physically present at their respective RTOs to apply for their learner's license.

Speaking to the media, transport minister Ramalinga Reddy said that the applications were to be made online and collected the next day from the applicants' respective RTO offices.

Reddy added that four new RTOs will be coming up in different locations across Bangalore soon.
