An analysis of the newly released Census data reveals that Bangalore has a high percentage of working women; in fact, women form around 39% of the city's workforce.

Delhi falls at the lowest end of this spectrum, and cities such as Kolkata and Mumbai have nearly double the proportion of working women in Delhi. Coimbatore and Bangalore hold top spots in this survey, registering more than 25%. Essentially, there is one working women for every two working men in Bangalore - clearly the best Indian city for the working woman today.
