Bangalore International Airport, the first Greenfield Airport in India and one of the fastest growing airports in the world, continues to strive to create a meaningful impact not just for its customers but also for the community and environment in which it operates.  Popularly called an airport in a garden it is a delightful experience for travellers that has won it over 100 distinctions and Indian and International awards including Best Airport, Best passenger Experience and Best Employer, Best greefields Airport etc.

Beyond its design and sucess however is a deep commitment to the environment and sustainability, evident in state of the art water, solid waste and energy managemant and community engagement.

An architect with nearly 13 years of experience in Green Architecture, Project Management, Environmental Social and Governance (ESG), Sustainable Design Management and Environmental Impact Assessment, he presently works in Bangalore International Airport Limited, (BIAL)   as “Senior Manager – Sustainability”- as a strategic planner in executing BIAL’s ESG strategies, working on multiple frameworks of ESG like GRI, ACI, BRSR, SBTI, CDP, GRESB, UNGC, Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), TCFD, Aspire Impact, Blue rating etc.

Head of ESG, BIAL & Governing council Member, UN Global Compact Network, India

An exxperienced Sustainability and ESG professional of nealy 30 years he has worked as a strategic planner in climate, water, circular economy, energy and supply chain sustainability.

At BIAL he drives the Sustaainability Strategy 2030 which suppurts UNs SDGs and is responsible for the carbon accreduation program, water stewardship and community programs among others. Currently part of the UN Global Compact Giverning Council he works on sustainability, environment, labour and human rights

Founder & Creative Head, Oorjaa

At various times in her life, she has been film maker, designer, writer and curator, she has remained passionate about circularity and the climate future of the planet. She strives to run a circular design practice at Oorjaa and has authored a book for children, The Magical Everything on the interconnectedness of the planet and now teaches environment in schools and circular design in design institutions.
