A Tale of Two Cities
Undivided Pakistan, Lahore and Amritsar - A culinary hub with century old recipes and influences from various cultures. Exotic spices and mysterious flavours, fortunately you don’t have to travel back in time to experience it. Saffron at The Park Plaza is hosting a Tale of Two Cities food promotion. Chef Ishtiyak has created a special menu with highlights from this cuisine.
There are two set menus featuring the Frontier cuisine with unlimited options. Starters obviously have a kebab menu. Our favourites were the Amritsari Sarson De Sole Tikka, with river sole and Lawrence Road Da Chicken Tikka.
From the mains - The Anarkali Bazaar de Bater, which are quails and the classic Chungi maqbool Road Da Baigan Bharta (eggplant). There are of course comfort foods like Ma Ki Dal, Paneer Bhurji and Sarson Da Saag. These are all served with fluffy Kulchas and aromatic Pulao.
You will not regret the Kulfi with falooda.
