Sopes

Also known as pellizcadas, this is a traditional Mexican dish originating in the central and southern parts of Mexico. It might look like a thick tortilla with vegetables and meat toppings, but the base is made from maize. It is topped with Mexican goodies like refried black beans and crumbled cheese, lettuce, onions, salsa and sour cream.
