Bhakri or Dhebra is a flat bread. This is round and unleavened and known in the West Indian states. It is coarser than a roti and eaten in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Rajasthan and Karnataka. The texture can be compared to a British biscuit and can be hard or soft.
It is usually eaten with chutney, curd or brinjal curry. It is traditionally the farmer’s food and is made with millets.
