Erudite Epicure

Polenta

This is a kind of porridge made from cornmeal or maize. It is similar to Upma in India, usually eaten with cheeses, butter, vegetables, meat, mushrooms and more. Cornmeal polenta is even found in some parts of India such as Maharashtra where it is called Makyacha Kees. In Rajasthan it is called kheech and is served hot with ghee during winter months.
