Fava’s Menu Gets A Makeover

The new menu at Fava created by Chef Abhijit Saha is a selection of authentic dishes drawn from a range of Mediterranean cuisines including Italian, Greek, Lebanese, Turkish and Moroccan.

Fava serves up a mix of light and fresh salads and introduces the live micro green salad. This is a signature creation of Chef Abhijit Saha where three varieties of micro greens are presented live on the table. Other ingredients of the salad include arugula, lettuce, cherry tomato, parmesan, toasted almond, balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. The salad is prepared live on the table either by diners or by the server making each salad unique, fresh and beautiful.

The flavours of the Mediterranean can be experienced in the new a la carte menu with the reinterpretation of mezzes and appetizers such as salmon and avocado hummus and truffled tenderloin carpaccio, in addition to a dozen mezze and crispy calamari. The use of local and artisanal ingredients can be found through the menu especially in the Middle-Eastern kebabs and grills, like sumac and chilli prawns and chicken souvlaki. The artisanal and creative pastas, pizzas, and risottos will get a new facelift with quatro stagioni pizza, Turkish minced chicken pizza, orecchiette pugliese pasta and angel hair with seafood pasta. The main course offers grilled provolone and vegetable timbale, Moroccon honey, cumin and lemon chicken, signature pomegrate chicken and German pork spiral sausage to name a few.

The popular Prix Fixe Lunch menu at Fava has also undergone a sea change. There will be different menu options available each week, offering something new to guests. This menu is available from Monday to Friday and is priced at Rs 425 plus taxes for the two course menu and Rs 550 plus taxes for the three course option.

The array of desserts have new additions like the bruleed mango, peach & yoghurt pannacotta, saffron and orange infused prunes.

The Petit Gourmet or Kids’ special menu is a treat for the young guests. They can start with the ‘Go Bananas and Nuts Shake’ or snack on batter fried fish fingers. The menu also offers chicken broth with pasta and mixed vegetables or honey mustard grilled chicken burger with avacado and coleslaw and finish with the cartoon character mini chocolate cake or oreo sundae. In addition, kids between the ages of 2 and 12 years can enroll into the Fava Petit Gourmet Club and enjoy complimentary ice-crème or chocolate cake every time they visit the restaurant for a meal with their parents.

The beverage menu has also undergone a complete makeover with the addition of many speciality teas, coffees, mocktails, cocktails, world beer menu, single malt collection as part of the Happy Hours offer.
