The La Marvella hotel in Jayanagar is celebrating its fifth anniversary... and how. General Manager Sukomal Sarkar is excited about the hotel reaching this landmark. “Like any new journey it has been challenging, but also incredibly inspiring,” he told Explocity.
The restaurants at the property, Golden Oak and Cocoon are doing their share of celebrating. At Golden Oak Executive Chef Mani Mohan Pathak is busy with the Kebab + Beer promotions. He spoke to Explocity about the festival. “It is all about celebrating kebabs. For our business travellers are are making a meal out of kebabs, not just restricting them to snacks.” For the guests the kebabs are being coupled with Indian breads, and curries to give a wholesome experience.
Some of the special kebabs include Bageeche ka Khazana three ways, some interesting veg options like Malai ke Phool, Nazakat ke Paneer. Another fav was the Makhmali Malai Tikka. It is perfect for the rainy season. Chef optimistically said, “I have been with the hotel for only a few months, but I can see so much potential in the place. I love exploring the creative avenues here.” He is teeming with ideas for the future.
As a luxury business hotel, La Marvella knows how to keep their corporate travellers happy. “We know the needs of the business travellers. They are looking for comfort without too much of a fuss. They do this day in and day out,” Sarkar continued. “The hotel offers just that - a comfortable bed, a great rain shower head and some great breakfast options. Our guests are a good mix of expats and Indians so we take care of catering to the both.”
The hotel has currently 49 fully equipped rooms and boasts of a spacious fitness centre. Soon there are planning to reintroduce a spa and a rooftop swimming pool. - more options for the guests to relax.
“We bank on doing the basics well and have a strong foundation. and we plan to take that forward” Sukumar concludes.
