Love is in the air and it's not too late to reserve that table for a romantic dinner date in town. Here are a few of my favorite spots, each with a charm of it’s own.

High Ultra Lounge - You might think a lounge is associated with just parties or great liquor, but that's where you're wrong. High, at night, transforms into a perfect setting that is quite romantic. Try sitting outdoor and it is indeed lovely. What makes everything worthwhile is obviously their food, and High gives you a good experience. An extensive menu, choose what you love most because you are spoilt for choice. I've had their Maki and Peking duck and fallen in love!

Oko, Lalit Ashok – To me, the fine-dine setting that totally exudes perfection and is meant for a romantic tryst is Oko. Having both indoor and outdoor (which is again a marvelous rooftop) seating, Pan-Asian cuisine lovers cannot get it better than this. I still remember the beautiful songs being sung live which gave the place exactly what it needed – some soul. From Sushi to Pad Thai, this restaurant has enough variety in both veg and non veg to keep you titillated to the end.

Bangalore Brew Works - One of the newer rooftop lounges and centrally located, I'd say BBW is an unassuming and modest place that would suit various occasions. In their spacious seating, there are two areas which I find totally charming – one being a small deck close to the entrance giving you the wind and the view of Bangalore, which has just a few tables, and two, the tables by their pool. Though the brewery is yet to function, the food is great. Whether it’s a salad or cheesy nachos or pizzas or pasta, you’re sure to find something to suit your palate.

Bricklane Grill – When it comes to elegance, this beautiful resto-bar mostly done up in white, presents it aptly. I love the place for its simplicity and chilled-out vibe. Sit overlooking the pool on either of the levels and cozy up to savor the night. It’s obvious that they serve grilled delicacies, so you can either enjoy those, indulge in pizzas or favor the Mediterranean dishes instead.

It’s all up to you to choose the definition of romance! Whether it’s a fine-dining restaurant, a lounge or a cafe, love starts with you. So go out and paint the town red!
