Chef Sanjiv Kumar at Novotel has prepared a Pan Asian menu and we’re loving the flavours in it. Chef is no newcomer to Pan Asian foods. “I have travelled around South East Asia a lot. I worked in Malaysia and before that Singapore. Also personally I'm a big foodie and these are my favourite cuisines.” Chef has also worked with some of the best Asian restaurants in the city during his career so he knows the ins and outs.
What does he love about about pan Asian? His eyes light up as he tells us that it is the variety of textures, flavours and aromas which attract him to the cuisine. We asked for his recommendations on the menu and his choices were the spicy Singapore Chilli Crab and Coconut and Lemongrass flavoured Lamb Rendang. They were served with Vietnamese fried rice.
Live counters galore. The menu has live counters for noodles, fried rice, Dimsums and Sushi. We had to tear ourselves away from the Korean BBQ counter as well. From the main course the Peking Duck stood out clearly.
We ended with Sticky Rice served with Mango pudding. The festival truly takes yoon a culinary journey through South East Asia.
