Halloween Feast At La Brasserie, Le Meridien

Haunted soup, vampire fingers, pan tossed worms and graveyard gateaux are just some of the special treats to feast on at La Brasserie, this Halloween. The restaurant is celebrating the festival with a special menu that hopefully tastes better than it sounds.

Every year, a number of countries around the world celebrate Halloween as a way to remember the dead, including saints and martyrs. Traditions like trick or treat, pumpkin carving and costume parties are maintained. In Bangalore, Le Meridien is celebrating with a special Halloween menu.

On October 31, from 7:30 to 11:00 pm, La Brasserie at Le Meridien will serve a Halloween Feast. The menu will offer a variety of starters, salads, main course and desserts, all of which have been named to match the theme of the festival.

For instance, starters include dishes like crunchy bones (crispy fried chicken wings) and vampire fingers with devil’s blood dip (fish fingers with tartare sauce) whereas fungus among us (frozen creamed spinach, ice berg lettuce, carrot, tomato and radish) is one of the many salads.

The main course includes both vegetarian options like steamed maggots (rice) and evil spirit lasagna. Bloody eyeballs (fish cakes with chunky tomato sauce) and hell roasted witch in a sealed pot (dum ka murgh) are among the non-vegetarian dishes.

For a spooky sweet ending, there are desserts like glass of blood (raspberry soup) and spider web and devil’s night jamoon (kala jamoon on caramel web) and even the traditional pumpkin pie.

Guests will receive a complimentary glass of beer or wine and a shooter to go along with their meal.
