The Leela Palace’s signature Indian restaurant Jamavar is hosting a Moplah Food Festival till November 20. The festival will feature the distinct cuisine of the Malabar region, called Mappila.
Chef Purshottam, the corporate executive sous chef of south Indian cuisine for the Leela Group, will create delicacies like moplah biryani, muringakol soup (spiced drumstick soup), kozhikode kozhi soup (pepper spiced chicken soup), koyiada (refined flour parcels filled with minced mutton), meen molaku curry (fish curry), mutta mala (a moplah special egg dessert), unnakkai (cotton bud shaped ripped banana dumplings), pidi kohzi (steamed rice dumplings and chicken masala) and lots more.
Apart from this Jamavar will also feature Moplah set menus, for lunch and dinner, during the festival.
