Meet Chef Luo Jinhong

Chef Luo Jinhong is in the city for Lalit Ashok’s festival called Mandarin Calling. The promotion is focussed on the food from Southern China. Chef Luo Jinhong who is from the region brings his expertise and authenticity that he has practised over the past 18 years. In conversation with Explocity.

 

Where did you grow up?  

In Changsha City, Hunan, China

What led you to becoming a chef?  

My love of good food made me a chef.

How long have you been a chef?

18 years.

What do you enjoy more? Cooking or creating?

Cooking.

Do you feel there is virtue in preserving the authenticity of cuisine?

I like to make authentic food in a modern style.

What dish do you like eating the most?  

Xiangla Fish.

What’s your least favourite dish?  

Sweet tasting dishes.

How long have you been in Bangalore?

First time here.
